The design team developed a comprehensive set of design standards to support Vera Whole Health's mission and branding, streamlining the design and construction of multiple clinics. Through a detailed visioning process, the team collaborated with Vera to establish a mid-century modern aesthetic that features walnut casework and ceilings for warmth, paired with vibrant brand colors and shapes in finishes and signage.
The team balanced residential-style comfort with clinical functionality to create welcoming spaces that foster calm for patients. Clinical staff provided input that shaped workflow-driven layouts, while mock-ups of furniture, casework, and graphics refined key elements. By using a “kit-of-parts” approach, the team ensured consistency across all clinics and documented this in a standards package covering space planning, finishes, furniture, equipment, casework, graphics, and signage.
The team conducted post-occupancy evaluations to support continuous improvement and worked closely with contractors and engineers to deliver clinics on time and on budget, even during simultaneous rollouts. This efficient, patient-centered design strategy reflects Vera Whole Health’s commitment to care and innovation.
