  • Aegis Living Mercer Island reimagines senior living by blending Pacific Northwest lodge-inspired design with elegance, warmth, and approachability. The community offers 73 assisted living units and 16 memory care units, providing residents with a serene, inviting environment enriched by thoughtful details and high-end amenities.

Visitors are welcomed by an expansive entryway flanked by shared spaces, including a dining room, wellness center, and activity areas. At the heart of the design lies a stunning biophilic focal point: a 14-foot-high, 35-foot-wide waterfall cascading down a stone wall, creating a soothing ambiance that connects the indoors with the outdoors. This connection extends throughout the design, with exterior materials like wood and stone seamlessly integrated into the interiors and abundant natural light streaming through floor-to-ceiling windows.

The lobby features a two-story, stacked-stone fireplace, offering a cozy yet grand gathering space. A glass NanaWall opens entirely to the courtyard waterfall, merging indoor and outdoor environments and enhancing the sense of connection to nature. A custom staircase with wrought-iron railings shaped like tree branches leads to a second-story catwalk, adding a dramatic, artistic touch to the space.

Dining areas are thoughtfully designed to enhance the resident experience, featuring an indoor/outdoor fireplace that connects to a patio for al fresco dining and a display kitchen with an ornate pizza oven. These elements, paired with sophisticated textures, materials, and biophilic design principles, create a vibrant yet tranquil atmosphere that fosters relaxation, community, and well-being. Aegis Living Mercer Island demonstrates the power of design in enhancing the lives of its residents.
